All the disability conditions are not visibly identifiable. Given the lack of a uniform disability screening checklist for schools that covers the 21 disabilities as per the RPwD Act 2016, and also acting on the vision of the NEP 2020, NCERT has developed the Disability Screening checklist for schools via mobile app PRASHAST i.e., "Pre Assessment Holistic Screening Tool" for school.

The PRASHAST 2.0 app will help in school based screening and generate the school level report, for further sharing with the authorities for initiating the certification process as per the guidelines of Samagra Shiksha. This application is user friendly and has proved to be a great help to school teachers, school heads/principals and special educators.
